The 9th edition of France-Atlanta showcased an exciting schedule of lectures, performances and discussions across the realms of culture, science, humanitarian affairs and business. From a ciné-concert of Georges Méliès’ films to a workshop on lung cancer, this year’s program, which was held from October 15 to 25, 2018, included a dozen events tied together by a shared push towards innovation as well as the promotion of transatlantic ties between the U.S. Southeast and France.
The 8th edition of France-Atlanta brought more than 20 French-American conferences, panel discussions, exhibitions, artist lectures, performances, and films to metro Atlanta from October 9-November 3, 2017. Event topics included public transportation, aerospace, emerging viruses, sexual and reproductive health, contemporary music and dance, French architecture, and more. France-Atlanta 2017 was particularly marked by a partnership with the High Museum of Art for the exhibition “Making Africa”. Well over 4000 people attended the various events, reflecting the regional interest in France and French-American cooperation.
The Consulate General of France in Atlanta and Georgia Tech presented 24 French-American scientific, business, cultural, and humanitarian events, in cooperation with many other Georgia institutions and with the support of all the French associations in Atlanta. This series of events attracted several high-profile participants in their respective fields and a general audience that was more youthful and diverse than ever before.
France Atlanta 2012
The season saw many positive results, including the intensification of academic and scientific partnerships, strategic contacts made in the sectors of water management, nuclear energy, sustainable airports, and contemporary dance, and the construction of a Habitat for Humanity house by the French community in Atlanta and a housing renovation project by Georgia Tech students in Lorraine, France.

In total, the Consulate General of France in Atlanta and Georgia Tech presented 15 French-American scientific, business, cultural, and humanitarian events, in cooperation with many other Georgia institutions and with the support of all the French associations in Atlanta. France-Atlanta 2011 attracted high-profile participants and an audience of nearly 3,500 people. Most importantly, strategic contacts were made and areas of cooperation were identified.

Altogether, more than 20 French-American events were organized in the scientific, business, cultural and humanitarian domains. The event was co-presented by the Consulate General of France and Georgia Tech with the support of all the French and French-American organizations in Atlanta. This series of events attracted many prominent figures from a diverse array of sectors and roughly 3,500 attendees.
The goal of this initiative is to breathe new life into the cooperation between France and the U.S. Southeast. Each event was design to encourage initial connections between French and American institutions and partners so that long-lasting relationships could be built.
